This week, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Randolph County has continued to stay low and under 20.
On March 2, Randolph County Health Department Administrator Angela Oathout reported that there were 15 active COVID-19 cases in the county. The county’s number of active cases has consistently stayed under 20 since Feb. 16. Prior to Feb. 16, the last time the county was under 20 active cases was on July 10.
Oathout also noted there were two individuals hospitalized, and overall the county has had a total of 3,982 confirmed positive cases. There has been a total of 82 COVID-19 related deaths in the county, with the last one reported on Feb. 17.
In Monroe County, however, Health Department Administrator John Wagner has unfortunately had to report five more deaths over the past week, bringing the county’s total lost to 93.
