New website will help Randolph County businesses make connections

The Randolph County Progress Committee adheres to the fundamentals of economic development. One of those is retention of existing companies. Another is helping existing companies to expand. “It is a fact that most new job growth in a given region comes from existing manufacturing companies that expand,” noted Chris Martin, coordinator of economic development for Randolph County. “So, one of our priorities is existing Randolph County companies and how we can help them. We lobby for them with tax abatement when they expand and now, we are going to help them find employees.”

Randolph County Connections, a new website helping employers and workers come together, was launched Wednesday, Feb. 1.
