Musketeers gear up for homecoming following victory over Carlyle

by Cooper DeSpain

Last Friday, the Musketeers traveled north to play the Indians of Carlyle in the first conference game of the season. Carlyle is 3-0, and the boys looked to end their perfect season.

Not a lot of action in the first quarter from either team, as it was 0-0 after one quarter. Landon Ruebusch found Brayden Schlesinger in the end zone for 6; the extra point was good as well. Brayden Koester tried kicking a 54-yarder but just missed it. Carlyle matched that with a touchdown of their own and a 2-point conversion to take the lead at half, 8-7.
