After beating Marissa on Monday, Red Bud traveled to Carlyle for the second half of their conference series against the Indians.
Red Bud offense started slow, but pitcher Will Simpson did not. He was red-hot the entire game, allowing only two hits and striking out seven, while also turning a pivotal double play. Later in the game, the offense came alive as the last two innings saw eight runs be scored, including a grand slam from Devin Hall to cap off a three hit day. Red Bud swept Carlyle this year and won, 13-0.
Red Bud went on the road again for their third game in a row, this time against Valmeyer.
