Last week, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department issued a press release about successfully locating a missing individual following an extensive multi-agency search on Friday, July 17.
The release noted that around 7:30 p.m. on July 17, deputies were dispatched to the area of Wiegand Road and M Road after receiving a report of an abandoned vehicle that had reportedly been sitting partially in the roadway for several hours.
Deputies located the vehicle, which was partially obstructing the roadway. Recognizing that the circumstances appeared unusual, Sergeant James Vogt requested that a neighboring law enforcement agency respond to the registered owner’s residence in an attempt to make contact with the owner.
