On Oct. 16, a special dedication ceremony was held at the Red Bud Masonic Lodge.
Red Bud Lodge Worshipful Master Rodney Diercks thanked all for coming. He noted that both the Red Bud Lodge and Kaskaskia Lodge (which meets at the Red Bud Lodge) had worked together to commission a mural for their building to celebrate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. It also celebrates the 200th anniversary of General Marquis de LaFayette gifting his sword to the Western Star Lodge, which later became the Kaskaskia Lodge.
