COPS AND KIDS AT CHRISTMAS–The Red Bud Police Department’s annual Cops and Kids at Christmas program had another successful year. Last week, the police were able to brighten up Christmas for 20 local kids by taking the kids shopping for Christmas gifts. The police department greatly appreciates the continued support and all of the financial donations from people, businesses and organizations in the community; this includes the Burnt End for smoking the turkey breasts that were given to each family, Red Bud School District 132 for donating the bus for transportation, the elves of Santa’s Village for making the evening special, and to Sparta Wal-Mart for their donation and assistance to the program.
