There is still a significant amount of active positive COVID-19 cases locally and the transmission rate for the area continues to be labeled as “high.”
On Jan. 21, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID data tracking page noted that there were 1,128 positive cases, with 19 new hospital admissions in Randolph County. The same day, Monroe County was listed as having 664 positive cases.
