Ed Weilbacher, the general manager for the Kaskaskia Regional Port District, was at the Nov. 22 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting to share updates and exciting news.
He started off by thanking the commissioners for their continued support. While the port district is doing well now, it wasn’t too long ago that it was struggling, and the county’s support at that time had been critical.
“It’s been a good two years for the port,” Weilbacher continued, sharing that the port district has had a total of $36,973,375 in grants funding numerous projects there. “So many good things are happening.”
