Red Bud resident Kim (Boente) Snyder, PTA, MEd was awarded the 2024 Physical Therapist Assistant of the Year award by the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.
Snyder was previously awarded the 2023 Faculty Outstanding Achievement to the Profession award by Southwestern Illinois College and the 2022 Distinguished Educator award by the American Physical Therapy Association giving her awards at the local, state and national level before retiring from her 30 year faculty and coordinator positions.
She has an associate degree in physical therapy, a bachelors in healthcare management and a masters in education and has been a PTA for a total of 36 years.
