The Kaskaskia River Delta Waterfowl Chapter celebrated its 20th anniversary on Aug. 1 by doing what few conservation organizations can claim – breaking chapter records across virtually every major category of its annual fundraising banquet.

Approximately 430 people attended the anniversary celebration in Hecker, establishing a new attendance record for an Illinois Delta Waterfowl chapter. Once volunteers, committee members and staff were included, the number of people inside the facility actually exceeded the population of the community hosting the event.

The crowd also helped generate approximately $138,000 in gross revenue, another chapter record.
