The Red Bud Musketeer varsity football team lost a close one last Friday night at home against Cahokia Conference rival Carlyle.
Regulation play ended in a scoreless tie, sending the game into overtime. This ended with anther tie, although this time it was 6-6, sending the game into a second overtime. Unfortunately, Carlyle came out on top this period, wining 14-6.
Tonight, Sept. 24, the Musketeers will travel to Sparta to face the Bulldogs. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
