Red Bud High School senior Brayden Howard is no newcomer when it comes to state competition for track and field. For the fourth and final year he has qualified for the IHSA Class 1A State Track Meet in high jump.
Howard advanced after winning first place at the Chester sectional meet last week with a jump of 6’1” (1.85 m), the qualifying height for state.
“My goal this year was to qualify for state for the fourth consecutive year and make it to the podium,” said Howard.
