VISITING WITH CHILDREN–Santa Claus was busy visiting with children of all ages during the Holiday Happenings and Christmas Walk in Red Bud this past weekend. Santa will be back in town again this Friday night as part of the annual lighted parade and community tree lighting ceremony. Thanks to the wonderful weather last weekend, there was a great turn out to kick off the Christmas holiday season in Red Bud with the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Happenings. But there is more holiday fun scheduled for this weekend.

On the evening of Friday, Nov. 24, the Chamber will be hosting their annual lighted parade. The parade will be held rain or shine and kick off at 6:30 p.m.

Those wishing to enter a float in the parade, it is free to do so. All floats will need to have at least 100 lights. To enter a float or for more information about the parade, contact the Chamber on Facebook or Chamber Director Brad Mayberry at 618-708-1336. Line up for the parade will start at 5 p.m. by St. John’s Lutheran School.
