Hess named VFW Fireman of the Year

FIREMAN OF THE YEAR–Red Bud VFW Post 6632 recently recognized Red Bud Fireman Tyler Hess as their VFW Fireman of the Year. Hess was also selected as the District 14 VFW Fireman of the Year. Tyler Hess was selected by Red Bud VFW Post 6632 as their VFW Fireman of the Year.

In his nomination for the VFW National Firefighters Public Servant Citation, the Red Bud Fire Department stated, “Tyler joined our department in 2015 and soon after he completed his fire fighting certifications at Southwestern Illinois College.

“He has been one of our most active and reliable firefighters for several years. In 2022, he responded to 86 emergency calls and attended 22 training sessions.”
