The 100 Women Who Care of Randolph County held their ninth giving event on June 17 at Ratzkeller’s in Red Bud. At the event, attendees nominated their favorite Randolph County non-profit organization. Three organizations were then randomly drawn out of all the nominees and a representative from each gave a five minute presentation about their organization. The group then voted and each attendee donated $100 to the winning organization. The winner of the funds at last week’s event was Red Bud VFW Auxiliary 6632, receiving a total of $4,000. This brings the grand total amount raised by these giving events for local nonprofits to over $39,000. The next giving event is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 21 at Benson’s in Chester.
