A brief case management hearing was held on Friday, Aug. 23 for Jayden Ethington.
The hearing was originally scheduled for earlier in the month, but had been reset to that day.
It was noted at Friday’s hearing that Ethington was not in attendance as he was currently receiving medical treatment out of state.
Ethington’s attorney, Justin Kuehn, told Judge Jeremy Walker that he was asking for a medical assessment and mental fitness evaluation to determine if he was fit to stand trial.
