“We’re very excited. This will help significantly reduce congestion,” Kaskaskia Regional Port District General Manager Ed Weilbacher said of a recent funding announcement.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced a nearly $200 million investment in 22 projects that will improve the movement of freight throughout the state, creating jobs and economic opportunity while enhancing safety and local quality of life.
