While not on the evening’s agenda, the Evansville Village Board considered raising their water rates at their meeting Monday night.
The topic came up while discussing what to do with the water plant building. Trustee Travis Hall stated that they’re still waiting to see if they can get any more quotes to repair the building, as they have only received one so far.
He then noted that the board will need to put together an ordinance to increase the water rates. “We haven’t had an increase since 2018,” Hall stated.
