There wasn’t much on the agenda for the Evansville Village Board meeting on Monday night, with one of the biggest topics of discussion ending up being mulch and other playground improvements.
Under park matters, Trustee Barry Greer brought up the need to get mulch for the village parks.
Clerk Nancy Schilling noted that last year the board had approved of purchasing mulch, however the village’s backhoe was not operational at the time, so the mulch was not ordered. And since then, the price has gone up a bit.
