Recommendations and updates were the biggest topics at Monday night’s Evansville Village Board meeting.
Trustee Theresa Ovelgoenner noted that the auditor had a few recommendations for the village.
The first was to combine the City Cemetery and Sauer Cemetery accounts.
Village President Kenny Kempfer noted that they would combine both accounts into a CD, which would earn more interest than a savings account.
Ovelgoenner also reported that the auditor recommended researching outsourcing their payroll. Collector Lori Valleroy has reached out to some possible options, but with it being tax season currently, she hasn’t received much back in response yet.
