Evansville board discusses ongoing trash complaints

Cleaning up the town was a topic of discussion at Monday night’s Evansville Village Board meeting.

Village President Kenny Kempfer reported that they have been receiving more complaints about junk, trash and derelict houses. However, he explained that attempting to deal with the problems has become “very frustrating.”

He stated that in the past year, Police Chief Aaron Runge had talked with residents, sent out numerous letters and even issued three citations. However, those citations were dismissed in court.
