The latest Hometown Hero featured by Red Bud VFW Post 6632 is Paul Atley Ehlers.
Ehlers and his twin sister Pauline were born on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 1929, to Mary and Henry Ehlers of Campbell Hill.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, assigned with the 8th Infantry Division. While stationed with the 91st Anti-Aircraft Artillery AW Battalion, C Battery, in Germany, he served with honor and earned the rank of corporal.
