Anyone who visits the Randolph County Courthouse within the next few weeks may notice that there is a renovation project taking place on the second floor.
Back in June, Judge Jeremy Walker reported at a county board meeting that neither courtroom in the courthouse is currently compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Specifically, he pointed out that those in a wheelchair cannot get into the jury box or witness stand.
However, he was happy to report that there were grants available to help make them compliant.
