Commissioners hear presentations, hold discussion on solar farm and grants

It was a packed room for the Aug. 16 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting, as they had a full agenda and some special guests at the meeting.

Notably present at the meeting was U.S. Congressman Mike Bost. The board wanted to publicly thank Bost for his help in securing a grant for the Randolph County Jail renovations and expansion.

“For years we wanted to do improvements,” noted Commissioner Marc Kiehna. “And several of your staff have been instrumental in helping to obtain a $4.3 million grant for the jail.”
