Commissioners approve two annual resolutions

A pair of annual resolutions, some updates and numerous reappointments were discussed at the Sept. 27 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.

The first resolution was for the state’s attorney appellate prosecutor. Approved each year, with this agreement, the Illinois Office of the State’s Attorney Appellate Prosecutor offers many services to assist the Randolph County state’s attorney, including handling the appeals process as well as helping with juvenile cases.

It was noted that the only change this year was an increase in the cost. Commissioner David Holder pointed out that two years ago, the cost to renew the agreement was $14,000. Last year it was $15,000 and this year it is $18,000.
