Kate Jones broke the Red Bud Waverunners team record for 13-14 girls 100 meter breaststroke twice this season. The first time was on June 27 with a time of 1:21.21, breaking the nearly 18 year old record of 1:22.11 set by Katelyn Sutterer on July 18, 2006. Jones went on to beat her own newly set record at the conference meet on July 20 with a time of 1:20.5. Jones, 14, is the daughter of Keith and Betsy Jones.
