REFLECTING ON HER YEARS OF TEACHING–Beulah Robert is pictured with her book that she put together of all the students she taught during her career.
Over the course of 32 years, Beulah Robert taught hundreds of students. And she has compiled a book to remember all of them.
Since retiring from teaching in 1988, Robert started making albums and scrapbooks for her family. But she also made one that featured all of her students that she taught during her career. She met with the North County News recently to discuss her book and her career.
A graduate of Red Bud High School in 1950, Robert received a scholarship and went on to study home economics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and then Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
After graduating, she started her teaching career in Wyanet, a small town in northern Illinois. There, she taught home economics at Wyanet High School for four years.
