Baldwin man charged with possession of child pornography

Terrell L. Rehmer

Last week, a Baldwin man was arrested on the charge of possession of child pornography.

Randolph County State’s Attorney Chris Koeneman reported that on Sept. 3, Terrell L. Rehmer, 62, was arrested by the Illinois State Police and was taken into custody at the Randolph County Jail.

The charge of possession of child pornography is a Class 2 felony, which can carry a sentence of three to seven years in jail.

A detention hearing for Rehmer was held on the morning of Sept. 5, where Koeneman had filed a petition to keep Rehmer in jail, citing him as a danger to the community. However, Rehmer was granted pretrial release with special conditions to alleviate the danger.
