An armed robbery incident was reported in Sparta last week at Lollie’s Restaurant.
According to a press release from the Sparta Police Department, on March 4 at 12:24 p.m., they received a 911 call that a suspect had just attempted to commit an armed robbery at the restaurant, located at 1775 North Market Street.
The victims were reported to be employees with Accel Entertainment, which maintains the gambling machines at the restaurant. They were able to give officers a description of the suspect, noting it was an older, white male wearing a black jacket with the hood up, and blue jeans.
The caller noted that “the suspect had a green cloth over his hand and stated put your hands up or he would shoot.”
