Another young, local fisherman has a great fish tale to tell, as not only did he land a new record sized fish, but he outdid his fishing buddy at the same time.
AJ Downing of Evansville was out fishing for bowfin this summer at the Kidd Lake Canal out by Prairie du Rocher/Fults in Monroe County when he got the bite of a lifetime.
“I was just casting the pole and messing around, there were not many bites that day,” he said. Then suddenly he had a bite on the orange and red 2.5 inch crankbait he was using.
