Red Bud High School Junior Tess Simpson qualified for state in the high jump. Simpson placed second with a jump of 1.52m at the IHSA Class 1A sectional held in Chester on May 15. She will now compete at the state meet at Eastern Illinois University on May 22. Simpson is the daughter of Jeremy and Tracey Simpson.
