PLACE FOURTH–The varsity volleyball team participated in the New Athens Labor Day Tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Musketeer volleyball team opened the season with a load of action last week. The team traveled to Gibault on Aug. 23 and fell to the Lady Hawks 25-14, 25-15. The next evening they suffered their second loss of the season as Triad defeated the team 25-15, 25-14.
On Friday and Saturday the team competed in the New Athens Labor Day Tournament. A total of 10 teams made up the field and after winning three of their first four matches, Red Bud faced Wesclin for third place. The Lady Warriors claimed the third place title after two sets, 21-10 and 24-22.
