The Red Bud Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Month for August is Pechacek Funeral Homes.
Pechacek Funeral Homes was originally established as Welge Funeral Home in Chester in 1882 and added a second location in Evansville in 1985. The business was purchased by Ronald and Pamela Pechacek in June 1990 and renamed Welge-Pechacek Funeral Homes.
In 1994, the Pechaceks expanded to Pam’s hometown, opening the Red Bud location at 1340 West Market Street. In 2000, their daughter, Elizabeth Pechacek Ohlau, joined the business and moved to Red Bud to manage this location.
