Students from Red Bud High School competed at the IHSA solo and ensemble contest on Saturday, March 7 in Centralia.
Overall, students placed 15th in the state in class B, with the vocal students placing 12th and the instrumental students placing 18th. A special recognition goes to Ariha Root, who was named the top performer for her banjo solo in room 1300 and to the trio of Tayah Hickman, Isabel Billingsley and Ariha Root as the top performers for their vocal trio in room 1061.
