Evansville board discussed solar

Solar panels continued to be a big discussion topic for the Evansville Village Board at their meeting Monday night.

For the past few months, the board has been discussing the idea of getting some solar panels installed on village property. So at this meeting, Trustee Andria Zweigart presented the board with some bids she had received.

She noted that she had received three bids, but they weren’t all the same.

In the first, the company suggested six different locations to install panels. This included on the roof and next to the water treatment plant, the village hall’s roof, on the roof and on the ground next to the maintenance building, and by the pump station. The bid outlined the number of panels and cost, however Zweigart noted that they did not want to use all of those listed locations.
