There was only one item on the Red Bud City Council’s agenda Monday night, excluding the evening’s consent agenda, so it initially seemed like it would be a short meeting. However, the council ended up holding discussions on that one item for almost an hour.
The topic – an ordinance that would grant a variance to change the setbacks for Secon Rubber and Plastics’ property off of Kaskaskia Drive, allowing for the company’s future expansion.
