PRESENTED KEYS TO THE CITY–Red Bud Mayor Susan Harbaugh made a special presentation during the Red Bud Am250 event on Aug. 29. She presented symbolic keys to the city to Tom Brickey and Stephanie Fitzgerald. The pair are descendants of one of the city’s founders, Preston Brickey. “Happy birthday America,” exclaimed Red Bud Mayor Susan Harbaugh at the Red Bud Am250 event held at Red Bud’s Lincoln Park on Aug. 29.
After more than a year of planning by a group of dedicated volunteers, it was finally the day to celebrate. The park was filled with people of all ages that came out over the course of the day to enjoy the plethora of free activities to celebrate America’s 250th.
“A heartfelt thank you goes out to the many people who helped make the day such a success — our generous donors, city staff, dedicated volunteers, vendors, local businesses and organizations, and everyone who contributed their time, talents and support in any way,” Harbaugh said of the event.
