A former area businessman passed away last week.
Walter E. Wittenauer, 97, of Red Bud passed away on Aug. 14.
Over his lifetime, Wittenauer had owned and operated many businesses in Hecker and Red Bud. This included the Sinclair Station; W.E. Wittenauer Bulldozing and Earth Moving; and Wittenauer Machine Shop.
