Kolton Meier and Fletcher Eggemeyer of Red Bud, were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the 2026 Don Welge Memorial Build the Bridge Challenge celebrating the opening of the new Chester bridge.
The pair earned Best Overall, the competition’s highest honor, after their bridge project received nominations across multiple judging categories. They also received the Mayor’s Choice Award, recognizing their thoughtful design that beautifully incorporated elements of both the old and new bridge concepts.
