A presentation was given at the July 2 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting about a new nonprofit that is building a community for adults with intellectual disabilities.
The nonprofit, Beacon Rock, was founded by Mariah and Tim Harle. Both were on hand to discuss their mission with the board.
Mariah gave some background, noting that they have a daughter with a genetic diagnosis. She will not be able to live on her own as an adult, so the Harles were concerned about her future.
