School board hears ag department report

An annual report from the high school’s agriculture department was the biggest part of the June 18 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.

Ag teacher Carrie Koester noted that the report is a great way of reviewing the program, its goals and looking at ways to improve. The report can also help in getting funding for the program.

For highlights from the report, she was excited to report that the enrollment in ag classes has been increasing. They continue to expand on class offerings and opportunities, with focus on providing more career driven and essential skills offerings.
