Several local elementary students qualified at the SIJHSAA Regional held at Tamarack Golf Course in Shiloh on May 4. The state tournament will be held on May 11 for the boys and May 12 for the girls at Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion.
St. John Lutheran School placed second carding a 121, just two strokes behind first place ICS. Team members include Charlie Liefer, Henry Sachtleben, Sutton Jones and Blaine Rohlfing.
St. John the Baptist Catholic School student Lance Nottmeier qualified for state and received a medal for placing in the top five at the regional.
Red Bud Elementary students Miranda Mollet and Adri Vause both competed at the Tamarack regional and advanced to the state tournament where they will play at Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion on May 12.
