Monday night’s meeting marked the beginning of the new fiscal year for the Red Bud City Council, and there were numerous purchases and appointments approved to coincide with the new year.
While many of the purchases were approved on the evening’s consent agenda, the purchase of a Polaris Ranger was pulled out for further discussion.
Alderman Kyle Donjon asked for the item to be removed from the consent agenda, noting that it had only been discussed briefly in committee meetings. And, he was unsure how much it would actually be utilized by the public works department. “I want more clarification on its use.”
