James Edward “Jim” Haury, 83, of Sparta, passed away on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 at St. John Hospital in Springfield. The visitation will be held from 8:30-11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 at the First United Methodist Church in Sparta. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Leslie Chalupny and Pastor Tim McIntyre officiating. Committal services will take place at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta. Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta is in charge of arrangements.
