Sister Mary Rachel Lawler, ASC, 95, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, passed away peacefully at 10:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at the Benedictine Living Community at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville. The visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Benedictine Living Community Chapel at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville. The funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Benedictine Living Community Chapel at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows with Fr. Carl Scherrer officiating. Burial will be at the ASC Convent Cemetery in Ruma. Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud is in charge of arrangements.
