STATE BOUND–Addy Piel, at left and Ava Wagner each ran a new career best time at the IHSA Cross Country Sectionals on Nov. 1 and crossed the finish line in the same second at 19:41. Both qualify to advance to the state finals this Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria.

Last Saturday was the IHSA Cross Country Sectional meet at Wesclin High School. Our school and community can be very proud of how well our girls team represented. In a very deep and talented field of runners, our Ava and Addy, continued their season long, strong performance on Saturday. They started off strong and never backed down, staying with the lead pack the entire three mile course. You had to witness it to really understand how amazing it was.
