A former business owner with a big heart for the community passed away last week.
Gladys M. Wittenauer-Thiele, 94, of Red Bud, passed away on Thursday, July 31.
She, along with her first husband Austin Wittenauer, had owned and operated the Foodland Grocery Store in Red Bud from 1965 until they retired in 1987.
In addition to running the grocery store, she was very involved in the community.
