Waterloo Police asking for the public’s help

The Waterloo Illinois Police Department is asking the public for assistance.

Waterloo Police Officer Eric Zaber stated in a press release the night of Dec. 18, that on Monday, Nov. 26, an unidentified black male used a fraudulent check to purchase merchandise valued at more than $1,000 from a local automotive dealership.

On Dec. 18, the Waterloo Police Department learned the same person of interest used similar fraudulent checks at two additional automotive dealerships in the St. Louis metropolitan area to purchase automotive-related merchandise.

During each fraudulent transaction, the person of interest was driving a silver Ford F150 Supercrew Cab truck with a bedliner, chrome running boards and a chrome air deflector.
