V8 Speed and Resto Shop was host to Business After Hours meeting

V8 Speed and Resto Shop served as the host for the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours meeting on the evening of April 18.

To start the meeting, Chamber President Twyla Schulte thanked V8 owners Kevin and Kelle Oeste for hosting and Red Bud Winery for providing the food for the event.

She then recapped the Chamber’s recent events including the Chocolate Walk on Feb. 16, the annual dinner on March 9 and the ribbon cutting for Senior Solutions/sleep lap/Red Bud Health Clinic at Red Bud Regional Hospital on April 11.

Schulte pointed out that one of the highlights of this year’s annual dinner was the recognition of and presentation of pins to the previous Citizens of Achievement. Not all of the previous Citizens of Achievement were able to attend the dinner though, so the Chamber wanted to recognize a few more at that evening’s after hours event.

Presented with their Citizen of Achievement pins that night were: Orvel Cox (1986), Loren Harms (1988), David “Louie” Diewald (1995), David “Pete” Rau (1996) and Mike Reed (2009).
